Rigid sun sails

A rigid sun sail not only offers reliable protection from wind and weather, but also allows the fabric membrane to be replaced at will. Since no connection to the power grid is required, the flexible shade can be used at any location, even in combination with several sails.

Sailing parasols

Inspired by sailing, these umbrellas are tested in practice under the most demanding requirements. A freshening wind in summer or even a downpour cannot harm the stable construction. The sails can be ordered in different dimensions, allowing an area of up to 24m² to be shaded with a single sail umbrella. The umbrellas are optionally available with a mobile base or as a wall-mounted version.

Wind load

Good material quality pays off: High-quality workmanship and quality are particularly important for sun sails, as they have to be able to withstand high stresses. The sail should either be loosely tensioned or have an appropriate pressure mechanism to take the tension out of the sails. The canopy should always be in motion with the wind, providing security and a special flair. If the wind does pick up too strongly, a wind monitor ensures that the canopy rolls back in again within seconds.

Variety of colors and fabrics

Our sun sailare often exposed to strong weather influences, and only with the best possible quality will you achieve a long service life. For this reason, we use fabrics from Tempotest® and Weathermax, as these fabrics are tested under the most demanding conditions compared to other manufacturers and are therefore particularly resistant.

WeatherMax: The cover is waterproof, particularly breathable and extremely hard-wearing. Made of filament threads, this fabric is very stretchy but always returns to its original shape.

Laminated polyester: This fabric is constructed from several layers with differently inclined warp threads so that the load is evenly distributed across the radially shaped fabric panels. This achieves maximum dimensional stability and optimum tear resistance. The fabric is available in white.

Soft acrylic fabric: Tempoteststar acrylic fabric for sun sail fabrics with dyed-through Teflon coating, available in 6 different colour versions.

Tempoteststar Light®: The lightweight and weather-resistant fabric is both water and oil repellent, immune to fungi and mould, dirt repellent as well as resistant to salty air and fading due to UV radiation. The fabric is available in 32 different colour variations.

Tempoteststar Waterproof®: This fabric has the same material properties as the Tempoteststar Light® fabric, but is completely waterproof. The fabric is available in 8 different colours.

Tentmesh: The Tentmesh is a net made of UV-resistant flat and HDPE yarns. Depending on the colour, it reduces UV rays between 91% and 98% and sun rays between 77% and 96%. Because Tentmesh is water-permeable, the fabric is the optimal solution for the construction of flat-tensioned sails.
